Hydro Extrusion Cressona, USA selects – Banyard LFi Smart System

Inductotherm Heating & Welding Ltd, are pleased to announce the recent full acceptance to production of a the Banyard Aluminium Billet Induction Boost Heater at the Hydro Extrusion, Cressona plant, Pennsylvania, USA. Following the highly successful installation of this system at Hydro Tonder in Denmark in 2019, Hydro Extrusion recognized the significant production benefits this additional installation would bring to their site in the United States. This system combines the cutting-edge Banyard LFi 800kW Smart System in conjunction with a Multi-Zone Coil Induction Boost Heater for 10” Aluminium billets and zero friction handling system and is compatible with a second unit, as planned production increases.

The Banyard team based in the UK have worked closely with Inductotherm Group colleagues at EMSCO USA to install and commission. We would like to take this opportunity to recognise the contribution of our Italian specialist partners who, in conjunction with ourselves, provided Hydro Cressona a full turn-key solution for their new 45MN press and extrusion plant.

We are pleased to announce our attendance at ET’ 21, the International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar being held in Florida, USA between the 11^th – 13^th May 2021. We will present our latest Banyard technology – including the latest generation of Banyard LFi Smart Systems in addition to a new technical paper presentation.
